| Mark Reynolds A native of Birmingham, AL. Mark spent many weekends and summers helping his grandmother paint, strip, and refinish old (and new) furniture. This was his first glimpse into the world of finishing and restoration. Through the years Mark polished his craft as an apprentice working for regional and European master craftsmen. His professional experience in the field is substantial and his resume before establishing Timeless Finishes includes ICI Dulux Paints (Glidden), and The Home Depot. After years of training and working for other companies Mark established Timeless Finishes in 2000. His vision for the company was a one stop full service finish /restoration shop with services ranging from antique restoration to faux finishes. In November 2005 Mark’s wife Kathleen became a full partner in the business and in May of 2006 they moved their studio to Historic Downtown Leeds. Kathleen Reynolds, After attending the University of Alabama, Kathleen furthered her education by enrolling at the Southern Institute School of Interior Design where she graduated with honors. In 1986, she became a certified interior designer passing the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) exam. Upon graduation Kathleen began her extensive career in art & design by working two short stint jobs the first as a designer for a local Birmingham AL. firm, Metropolitan Properties then as a designer for Linda Frazier. In 1987, Kathleen returned to Southern Institute School of Interior Design where she spent the next 8 years as a faculty member teaching perspective drawing and architectural rendering. These were also the years that Kathleen began to establish herself as a very in demand artist specializing in hand painted furniture, faux techniques and murals. Along with her teaching career she worked part-time for Andrea Carmichael Designs as well as opening her own freelance studio in Homewood AL . Kathleen also has over 10 years of retail design experience where she worked for such companies as the Home Depot and Don’s Carpet One. Since 2005 Kathleen has worked as Vice President for Timeless Finishes. The addition of her skills and talent have transformed the business and broadened the services that are now available to clients. |
